Meet Author, T. A. Jones
T. A. Jones lives with her family in North Carolina where she has spent most of her life. Upon graduating from Warren County High School in 1984, she attended North Carolina Central University receiving her Bachelor’s degree in English in 1988 and returning to earn a Master in Public Administration in 2011. The author of A Summer with No Ice Cream, a novel written to start conversations about health disparities in the African American community, and A Summer with No Ice Cream is the first in a series entitled “Embracing Myself and My Health”. And now, introducing The Parent Push, Jones is generating conversation within families about making informed decisions and choices that shape life beyond high school.
Currently an Academic Advisor in higher education, she has also devoted several years teaching in the North Carolina Community College and Public School Systems.
“I can do all things through Jesus Christ, who strengthens me, Philippians 4:13” is one of her favorite scriptures; because she says it keeps her in a positive frame of mind when reflecting upon the joys, sorrows, triumphs and struggles of life.
